Business Insurance
The Mannin Hotel
Last updated: 8 September 2025
The Mannin Hotel maintains comprehensive business insurance to protect our guests, visitors, and team members. This page summarises our core cover and outlines insurance requirements for suppliers and event organisers using our premises.
1. Our Insurance Cover
- Public Liability Insurance: Covers injury to third parties and damage to third-party property arising from our business activities on the Hotel premises.
- Employers’ Liability Insurance: Provides cover for our employees in accordance with applicable Isle of Man law.
- Property & Business Interruption: Protects Hotel assets and certain business interruption risks. (Internal coverage details are confidential.)
Specific policy limits and insurer details are available upon reasonable request for bona fide stakeholders (e.g., corporate clients, venue hirers, and approved suppliers).
2. Certificates of Insurance
If you require proof of our insurance for a booking, event, or contractor onboarding, please email info@manninhotel.im with your company name, event date(s), and the certificate details required. We aim to provide standard certificates within 5 working days.
3. Insurance Requirements for Events & Suppliers
- Event Organisers: You may be required to hold your own public liability insurance with a minimum indemnity limit appropriate to your event. Evidence of cover may be requested prior to the event.
- Third-Party Suppliers & Contractors: All external suppliers (e.g., entertainers, decorators, AV teams) must carry adequate insurance (such as public liability and, where applicable, employers’ liability). Method statements and risk assessments may also be required.
- Equipment & Property: The Hotel is not responsible for loss of or damage to equipment or property brought onto the premises by organisers, suppliers, or guests. Please ensure you have suitable insurance in place.
4. Risk Assessments & Safety
To help ensure a safe environment, we may request risk assessments, PAT testing evidence for electrical items, and safe-system documentation. All activities must comply with our health and safety policies and any applicable legal requirements.
5. Incident Reporting
All incidents, accidents, or damage should be reported to the duty manager immediately so that details can be recorded and, where appropriate, notified to our insurers. Timely reporting helps us support any claim and improve guest safety.
6. Data Protection
Personal data collected in connection with an incident or claim will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law.
7. Disclaimer
This summary is provided for general information only and does not amend or replace our insurance policy terms. Coverage is subject to the specific policy wording, limits, exclusions, and conditions. Nothing on this page constitutes legal advice.
