Welcome to the Mannin Hotel

The Mannin Hotel is one of the Isle of Man’s newest accommodations, officially opened in Spring 2016. Ideally situated in the heart of Douglas, next to the Villa Marina and Gaiety Theatre, our hotel offers a stylish and comfortable base from which to explore the beauty of the Island.

Modern Comforts in Every Room

Our 54 thoughtfully designed rooms cater to the needs of today’s travellers, combining comfort with the latest technology. Guests enjoy exclusive access to a secure underground car park and the convenience of a drive-thru check-in service.

Dining for Every Occasion

Our open-plan ground floor restaurant is open to residents and non-residents alike, serving breakfast from 7am to 10am, and dinner from 5pm to 9pm, 7 days a week. Located just steps from the theatre district, it’s the perfect place for a relaxed meal before catching a show.

A Lounge Bar to Unwind

The lounge bar offers a warm, informal atmosphere—ideal for evening cocktails, pre-theatre drinks with friends, or casual business meetings. Open daily from 11am until late, it’s a space where locals and guests alike can feel right at home.

Built on Heritage

The hotel stands on the site of the original Mannin and Broadway Hotels, dating back to the 1880s. Though the original structure had to be demolished in 2012 due to safety risks, the new building preserves the site’s Victorian heritage while meeting today’s highest building standards.

Setting a New Standard

We aim to redefine accommodation on the Island, whether you’re visiting for leisure or business. Enjoy homemade meals, fine wines, and a welcoming lobby space designed for relaxation or informal meetings.

Your Base for Business or Leisure

Whether you’re here to explore the Island or preparing for an important meeting, the Mannin Hotel provides a restful and comfortable retreat to recharge and prepare for the day ahead.

The Vision Behind the Build

The Mannin Hotel is the brainchild of Keith Lord, a seasoned property developer with over 50 years of experience in the construction and tourism industries. Seeing the Island’s growing tourism sector and the potential of the hotel’s location, Keith set out to create something special.

Design Inspired by Artistic Icons

Keith’s passion for the works of Archibald Knox and Charles Rennie Mackintosh is evident throughout the hotel. From our signature clock design to the stainless-steel structures and “The Lantern” glass feature, their artistic legacy lives on in our architectural and interior design.

A New Chapter Begins

After three years of careful planning and construction, the Mannin Hotel proudly opened its doors on April 15th 2016, marking the beginning of a new chapter in Isle of Man hospitality.
